QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
What can I expect on a Secret History Tour?
We occasionally get questions about our tours, so we have answered the most common questions here.
It’s very easy. Once you are on the Secret History Tours website, scroll down the home page to choose your tour. Click on the tickets link, complete a simple form, and pay with a credit card or Paypal. You’ll get an email that serves as your receipt and reminder.
Our guides work hard to be friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. Although they do accept tips, tipping is entirely up to the customer.
We use PayPal as our payment processor and we take all major credit cards or funds in your PayPal account if yuo have that. And though we can’t take cash for booking, it’s perfect for tipping your guide! At this time we are unable to accept Apple Pay, Venmo, Cash App, or any other forms of digital payment.
Your guide should have your name on a guest list. In case we can’t find your name, your guide will ask to see the confirmation email that includes the tour name and date.
Absolutely! We enjoy creating engaging experiences for visitors to our hometown, including conferences, social groups, and weddings.
Yes! Our gift certificates are an easy and fun way to share the walking tour experience with family and friends. Recipients get an email with a button that takes them straight to the booking page to choose a tour.
We walk because you see more that way than on a bus. Our tours cover .75-1.25 miles over 1.5 hours. Most guests can handle the walking just fine.
Our tours run rain or shine, and weather is usually not a problem. On the rare chance it’s really too wet and stormy for a tour, we will notify guests in advance and offer refunds.
Each tour has a designated meetup location. You may meet at a park, in a hotel lobby, or in a cafe. Check your email for details.
