Three Centuries Tour
See Mobile’s past through historic photos on this tour of the East end of downtown. You’ll see engravings of Native Americans from 1760, a map of Spanish Mobile from 1815, the disastrous Magazine Explosion of 1865, workers building the Bankhead Tunnel in the 1940s, and the Seanger Theater’s “colored” entrance in the 1950s.
Local Color Tour
This sampler tour includes the story of a haunted tree, two historic fire halls that each contributed to Mobile’s Mardi Gras traditions, a church formed by slaves whose members still raises their voices in prayer and praise 180 years later, and street murals that decorate nineteenth century buildings.
